NEWBURGH – Some sort of a disturbance occurred in front of Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Monday night and details have yet to be released by the City of Newburgh.

When Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez was asked about it on  Tuesday morning, he declined, saying “there is a process to follow” when the media wants information about a specific case.

City Manager Todd Venning has clamped down on city employees, including department heads,  prohibiting them from talking to the media without his express permission. He, too, will not talk to reporters.

Gomerez was allowed to discuss the arrest of a murder suspect on Tuesday, but when asked about the disturbance outside the hospital, he would not address it.

As of late Tuesday, the city had not release any information about the incident.
