NEWBURGH – The little boy who fell out of a third-floor window in a three-story apartment building on South Street in the City of Newburgh on Monday is in critical, but stable condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, Police Chief Anthony Geraci said on Tuesday afternoon.

Details of how the two-year-old child gained access to the window and if anyone was watching him have not been made public as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the early afternoon incident.

Neighbors and firefighters provided first aid until an ambulance crew arrived and the boy was brought to Westchester Med.
