WHITE PLAINS – A Peekskill man has been indicted on charges that he stabbed his stepfather to death in Peekskill.

Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah said Shane Gilleo, 30, has been charged with murder and arson in the death of 48-year-old Edward Reeves.

It is alleged that at around 12:30 a.m. on September 14, Gilleo stabbed Reeves several times with a knife on North James Street in Peekskill.

Gilleo is also alleged to have started three separate fires on the second floor of a two-family home on Grant Avenue in Peekskill, where a relative lived.

Police arrested Gilleo shortly after the incidents.

Gilleo is being held in the Westchester County Jail without bail.
