Two charged with multiple felonies after Croton car break-ins

CROTON-ON-HUDSON – One juvenile and one adult have been arrested after a police investigation into vehicle break-ins in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.  The adult is facing a felony grand larceny charge while the youth is facing multiple charges.  The two were arrested on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Croton-On-Hudson Police responded to a report of two male subjects trespassing on private property and attempting to enter locked vehicles in the village.

Police responded and located the two, who were in possession of suspected stolen property, including two credit cards.

During the investigation, it was found that they had stolen a vehicle that had the key fob left inside. The vehicle was found abandoned a short distance away.

Earlier Monday night, the suspects were observed being dropped off on High Street by a black BMW. The pair was apprehended and both charged with felony grand larceny.

The juvenile defendant has also been charged with three felony counts of grand larceny, two counts of criminal possession of stolen property, and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
