NEW PALTZ – Art and Bill Judge are identical twins who served in the Marine Corps and trained together, and now serve as New Paltz Middle School hall monitors – Bill for over 18 years and Art for two years.

They are often seen in the hallways, sports fields, managing crowds, directing hall traffic, and keeping the school building safe.

The New Paltz Central School District is highlighting the brothers in honor of Veterans Day on Friday, November 11.

In 1968, the boys joined the Marines. After training, Bill was sent to one line and Art to another. Art served two years in southern Vietnam and Bill, who is 10 minutes older, was sent to Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in California.

Say hello to the brothers when you see them around the school campus.
