MONTICELLO – A Monticello man who was caught with over eight ounces of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, as well as a loaded pistol in his home, pled guilty in Sullivan County Court on Monday to the felonies of drug and weapons possession.

As a result of a previous felony conviction, Lorenzo Wilson, 34, was prohibited from possessing firearms.

Wilson was arrested following a warrant search of his home at 36 York Avenue where the drugs, weapon and over $14,000 in cash were seized.

The search warrant was executed by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the State Police, Monticello Village Police and the District Attorney’s Office.

When sentenced in January 2023, Wilson faces up to 15 years in state prison.

“This defendant put our community at risk, not only by possessing large quantities of deadly narcotics clearly intended for distribution, but by doing so while armed with a deadly weapon,” said DA Meagan Galligan. “Sullivan County has seen the dangerous effects of the combination of guns and drugs, and our law enforcement community will continue to come together to make our neighborhoods the kinds of places we can be proud to live, work and raise our families.”
