Drugs and cash seized during raid on Charles Faircloth's apartment

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has apprehended a narcotics dealer near Dutchess Community College in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Charles Faircloth, 77, of Pendell Commons in the Town of Poughkeepsie, was charged with felony possession of drugs with intent to sell.

On Thursday, the task force executed a search warrant on Faircloth’s residence in the complex, located on Pendell Road, in close proximity to the college.

Officers seized cocaine, crack cocaine, and prescription pills along with an unspecified amount of cash.

Faircloth was issued an appearance ticket to Poughkeepsie Town Justice Court.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force, comprised of officers from the cities of Beacon and Poughkeepsie, along with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, and officers from Hyde Park and East Fishkill are seeking the public’s assistance to battle narcotics trafficking.  The two most recent drug arrests and seizures have occurred in the Town of Poughkeepsie, even though town police do not have a representative on the task force.
