FBI joins in search for man facing charges of raping child in Goshen

Jesus Torres is wanted by the FBI in relation to charges of raping a female child in Goshen.

GOSHEN – The FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force and the New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Goshen resident Jesus Torres, who is wanted for raping a female child.  There is a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The United States District Court in White Plains has issued a warrant for the arrest of Torres for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

State Police say Torres is wanted in Orange County on charges of rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child. Charges against Torres were filed on October 18, but Torres has eluded capture.

Jesus Torres, 31, is described as five feet, nine inches tall and about 165 pounds.  He is known to have family and friends in both Atlanta, Georgia and Ocala, Florida.
