TOWN OF WALLKILL — Garnet Health Medical Center has been recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients.

This achievement reflects Garnet Health Medical Center’s outstanding clinical outcomes for coronary intervention and puts them in the top two percent of hospitals nationwide for coronary interventional procedures.

“We are proud to receive such an extraordinary distinction for the clinical expertise and dedication of our providers, who perform lifesaving procedures with superior outcomes,” said Rosemary Baczewski, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Garnet Health. “This award signifies our commitment to providing exceptional care to all in the communities we are proud to serve.”

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country, in order to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention and hospitals that did not receive this distinction.

“We commend Garnet Health Medical Center for their ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care to patients undergoing coronary interventional procedures,” said Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades. “Consumers can feel confident that America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention have demonstrated their ability to deliver consistently exceptional outcomes.”
