NEWBURGH – A second stabbing in under one day occurred in the City of Newburgh.
The incident took place in a third floor apartment at 200 Broadway early Thursday afternoon, sources said. Chief Anthony Geraci, at the scene, would only say it was a “death investigation” involving a male victim. The cause of death and whether it was a homicide or otherwise was not immediately known.
Earlier in the day, the police investigated a burglary in progress in a second floor apartment at the same address, the sources said.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, a man sustained a stab wound to his neck.
