CITY OF HUDSON – A 37-year-old prisoner at the Hudson Correctional Facility was arrested by Hudson City Police early Tuesday for speeding and when officers investigated, they learned Arley Dahlberg was driving a 2017 Audi Q5 stolen from the 400 block of Union Street.

He had an active arrest warrant from the prison for absconding from their temporary release program. That’s a felony charge.

At the time of his arrest, police found Dahlberg in possession of crack cocaine.

He was charged with grand larceny and misdemeanor drug possession.

Following his arraignment, he was picked up by the state correctional division and transported to Coxsackie Correctional Facility.

Hudson Police are also investigating whether Dahlberg was involved in the attempted burglary of a North 5th Street residence that occurred just before he was stopped for speeding.

Anyone with information to share with the police is asked to call the Hudson Detective Division at 518-828-3388.
