Monticello man arrested again for additional burglaries

MONTICELLO – A Monticello man who was arrested for burglary days ago, has been arrested a second time for allegedly committing other crimes.

Monticello Police arrested Justus McMoore, 37, on Saturday, October 8 on two felony charges of burglary, criminal mischief and grand larceny.

McMoore had been previously arrested by Monticello Police on October 1 and charged with burglary when Monticello Police officers investigated an activated motion alarm and found McMoore in the act of burglarizing a business located on Forestburgh Road in Monticello.

As a result of a continuing investigation, police charged McMoore with burglarizing that same business on Forestburgh Road on September 22 and also a separate business located on Broadway on September 28.
McMoore was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Justice Court before Associate Justice Leo Glass and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $10,000 cash bail, $20,000 bail bond or $30,000 secured insurance bond pending further court action.
