GOSHEN – Goshen High School implemented its hold-in-place protocol after a student reported they had received an Air Drop message at 8:38 a.m. about “shooting up the school.”

Goshen Police and State Police responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.

By 9:23 a.m., the building was declared secure; however, the hold-in-place was maintained while the police conducted an investigation into the threatening message.

An hour later, Goshen Police found no indication of a weapon. They are investigating students’ phone in order to trace the source of the threat while the hold is in place.

At 11:13 a.m., State Police brought in a detection dog to track for any explosives, gun powder or related residue.

The investigation is ongoing.
