Heroin arrest following Livingston traffic stop

LIVINGSTON – A 33-year-old Livingston man was remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail following his arrest by State Police on felony drug charges.

Troopers from the Livingston barracks charged Paul Kozlowski with two counts of drug possession, bail jumping and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Police also charged Shannon Caston, 34, of Kingston in connection with the September 26 traffic stop on Route 9 in Livingston, with misdemeanor drug possession.

Troopers said Kozlowski was in possession of approximately six grams of heroin and fentanyl and Caston was in possession of 0.5 of alprazolam.

Caston was released on her own recognizance.
