Ellenville murder suspect caught in LA

ELLENVILLE – Dominic Naquan King, also known as “Domo,” who was wanted for the murder of Gerald Keith Richardson, also known as “Blood,” 39, of Ellenville, in that village on the night of June 29, 2021, has been arrested in Los Angeles, California.

King fled New York immediately after the killing and became one of New York’s most wanted fugitives.

For the last 15 months, Ellenville Police and a task force attempted to locate King.

A police operation in Los Angeles led to his arrest. He was flown back to New York and taken into custody at New York Stewart International Airport by members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Ellenville Police.

“While this is just the beginning of the process to see that justice is served, at least for the time being, the family of the victim can take solace in knowing that this alleged violent suspect, who has allegedly committed such a cowardice and heinous act has finally been apprehended and must now answer for his actions,” said Ellenville Police Chief Phillip Mattracion.

King was arraigned in Ulster County Court on a sealed indictment, which was issued by a grand jury charging him with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, all as felonies.

He was remanded by to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Agencies working on the investigation included Ellenville Police, US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office, and State Division of Parole.
