MIDDLETOWN – The Boffa family retired and closed their popular Tony Boffa’s Restaurant just weeks ago and now, new owners purchased the building in Middletown.

Preferred Property Real Estate owner and broker Miguel Rodrigues sold the property that closed on Friday. The building sold for $845,000, he said.

The new owners will be converting the former Italian restaurant that had been in existence for 71 years, into a Japanese Sushi restaurant and the couple that purchased the building will live in an apartment above the store, Rodrigues said.
