TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 26-year-old New Windsor man is dead following a crash involving two motorcycles and a pickup truck in the Town of Wallkill.
The incident occurred around 5:36 p.m. on Sunday at 496 Schutt Road. Wallkill Police officers located the man on the ground unconscious and unresponsive. He was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A third victim, a 32-year-old Middletown man, was also transported to Garnet Health. A 25-year-old Middletown woman riding with the victim suffered a laceration to her right leg. Both injured persons were treated and released.
According to witnesses, the man who was killed was operating a motorcycle that struck the rear of a sedan.
The 32-year-old operator of the second cycle struck the rear of a pickup truck.
The investigation by Wallkill detectives is continuing with assistance from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and State Police.
Police did not release the names of the victims.
