NEW CITY – Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh II announced that a grand jury has indicted three Haverstraw men on several felonies stemming from the July 8 murder of a teen in Spring Valley.

At about 2:30 a.m., Spring Valley Police officers found Treynahel Cineus, 17, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, who was about to enter his senior year at Ramapo High School, was transported to the hospital where he died.

Anthony Mitchell, 23, Ahmad Williams, 21, and Brian Thomas, 20, were all charged with murder, attempted murder, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

All three suspects were remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

“The senseless killing of a high school student with such a bright future ahead of him has left our community shocked and in anger,” said Walsh. “As a father, no parent should every have to bury their own child.”
