KINGSTON – A 56-year-old Poughkeepsie man pled guilty in Ulster County Court to felony driving while intoxicated for having two prior convictions in the past 10 years.

Johnny Miles’ criminal history dates back to 1983.

The  conviction of Miles stems from an incident on April 30 where he was pulled over by a state trooper for several traffic infractions.

He failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a chemical test after being placed under arrest.

His criminal history consists of four felony convictions and this is his fifth DWI offense in the past decade, Ulster County District Attorney David Clegg’s office said.

When sentenced in January 2023, Miles is expected to be sentenced to from two to six years in state prison.
