Teen struck and killed by hit-and-run driver

YONKERS    – The Yonkers Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a 16-year-old Archbishop Stepinac High School student.

Police said the youth was struck by a van that fled the scene shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning.

Police detectives have located the van and have a suspect in custody with criminal charges anticipated.
