Five stolen cars, several vehicle break-ins in Rhinebeck and Clinton area

CLINTON – Three vehicles were stolen in the Town of Clinton and two were stolen in the Town of Rhinebeck last weekend prompting the State Police at Troop K to remind motorists to secure their vehicles and property.

In Rhinebeck, over 15 vehicles were broken into.

All of the vehicles stolen or broken into had one thing in common, they were unlocked.

The stolen vehicles all had the ignition keys left in them.

Troopers remind people to lock their vehicles, close all windows, and secure the ignition key properly.

Do not leave valuables, forms of identification or money in your vehicle.
