AIRMONT – A 32-year-old Airmont man has been arrested for allegedly holding a woman against her will, Ramapo Town Police said.
Investigation led police to a residential address in the Village of Airmont on Thursday, August 4, who had sustained physical injuries during her confinement. She was treated for her injuries at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
The suspect, Joel Santiago, was also at the location and arrested.
Investigation led to him being charged with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, attempted assault, aggravated criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and assault.
Santiago was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.
Ramapo Police were assisted by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and County Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
