PARKSVILLE – A truck hauling construction waste tied up traffic on Route 17 in the Parksville area early Monday afternoon when it overturned spilling the contents of the trailer.
One injury was reported.
The spill sent C&D material across the highway resulting in the westbound lanes being closed between exits 98 and 97 and eastbound traffic limited to one lane.
To compound the situation, there was a diesel fuel spill that required remediation.
