Huguenot woman issued 31 tickets

HUGUENOT – State Police arrested a 29-year-old Huguenot woman on a number of charges including drug possession just before midnight on July 31.

Troopers observed a 2020 Ford Mustang traveling on Peenpack Trail in the Deerpark hamlet of Huguenot in violation of several state vehicle and traffic laws.

When troopers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Brittaney Brush, failed to stop and drove to a residence on Somarelli Drive where she got out of the car and fled on foot.

She was apprehended a short time later and a search of her car yielded a small amount of drugs.

As a result, she was charged with misdemeanor drug possession, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, feeling an officer in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

She was also issued 31 traffic tickets.

Brush was released on an appearance ticket returnable to town court at a later date.
