Newburgh man arrested in Wallkill with gun

TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 41-year-old Newburgh man has been arrested by Wallkill Town Police for possession of a gun.

At about 4:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, Police Officer Kenneth Anderson responded to a report of a suspicious man in the area of East Main Street and Carpenter Avenue.

A subsequent search of the man resulted in the recovery of a loaded Glock 19, 9mm handgun with a nine-round magazine.

Corey Washington was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding device.

Washington was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail with no bail pending a future court appearance.
