Catskill man arrested after violating no-contact order of protection

SAUGERTIES – The day after a Catskill man was issued a no-contact order of protection by Saugerties Village Court, he allegedly made several attempts to contact the protected party and was arrested and jailed as a result.

Robert Amirault was issued the no-contact order on July 21 and the following day he allegedly began sending several text messages and making phone calls to the victim.

On July 23, he was arrested at his home in the Village of Catskill, processed by Saugerties Police and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 property bond pending a future court appearance.
