WHITE PLAINS – A 27-year-old Miami, Florida man was sentenced in Westchester County Court to four years in New York State prison for the statutory rape of a 15-year-old in North Salem.
The sentencing will run concurrently to a 26-year federal sentence that was announced on July 5 for Christopher Nunez’s enticing of the victim and two other minors to engage in sex in New York, Kentucky, and New Jersey.
“The bravery of this 15-year-old victim, who came forward to report this crime, resulted in my office collaborating with the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, which culminated in justice for two additional victims,” said Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah. “This case is another stark reminder of the dangers of online sexual predators who manipulate minors. Our office is available to help parents and families better protect minors from predatory online dangers, and will hold accountable to the fullest extent of the law those who prey on children.”
