Woman taken into custody after she rolls her car over

PORT JERVIS – A female driver of a four-door silver Toyota was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon, suspected of driving while intoxicated, after rolling her car over on a stretch of South Maple Avenue in Port Jervis.

Several emergency units were on scene within minutes of an emergency call alerting of a rollover with possible extrication required.

Town of Deerpark and Port Jervis Police Departments, New York and New Jersey State Police, and two Port Jervis Ambulance crews were still on scene at 3:30 p.m., as a tow truck arrived to remove the vehicle from an embankment on a wooded side ditch.
