TOWN OF LAGRANGE – A 31-year-old Poughkeepsie woman was seriously injured when the car in which she was the front seat passenger ran off Route 55 in the Town of LaGrange and struck several trees.  The accident occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said the woman, Samantha Mincey, was ejected from the vehicle. She was initially transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie and later transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

The driver and rear seat passenger sustained minor injuries.

All were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Deputies said no charges were filed as it appears the primary factor for the crash was driver fatigue.

Assisting at the scene were the State Department of Transportation and the Town of LaGrange Fire Department.

Route 55 was closed to traffic for an extended period of time.
