TOWN OF ULSTER – US Senator Charles Schumer is calling on the president of Zinc8, a battery and energy-storage technologies company to expand their operations at the former Tech City site in the Town of Ulster.

Schumer said the property, now known as iPark 87, has all of the right ingredients to become the home to their next major facility and he said the $6 billion in infrastructure investment and jobs act can help supercharge the company’s future in New York.

“Zinc8 is evaluating potential manufacturing site in the Northeastern US and hase been very impressed with the locations and related facility in New York,” said Zinc8 President Ron MacDonald.

The plan to locate at iPark 87 has the support of Ulster County and regional economic development officials.
