Road rage ends in two killed on Interstate 84

TOWN OF KENT – State Police have released the details of a double fatal motor vehicle accident on Interstate 84 in Putnam County that occurred on Saturday.

Troopers said the incident occurred at around 1:35 in the morning on July 2 on I-84 westbound in the Town of Kent.

Initial investigation determined that two men, Mark Hall, 38, of Holmes, and Fabian Tirado, 22, of Wappinger, stopped in the right lane of travel and got out of their vehicles due to a road rage altercation, police said.

While the two men continued to argue in the right lane, a third vehicle struck both men, killing them.

The third driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
