Another shooting in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – A 16-year-old City of Newburgh youth was shot in the leg during the latest violence in the City of Newburgh.

A Shot Spotter notification led officers to the area of North Miller Street where they located the treen.

Officers quickly applied a tourniquet to the wound and a Town of Newburgh Ambulance responded and transported the teen to Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital.

The incident is under investigation by the Detective Division of the city police department.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police at 845-561-3131. Callers can remain anonymous.

Just days ago, a man and woman from Beacon sustained gunshot wounds and a 17-year-old boy was also hit by a bullet.
