TOWN OF CATSKILL – State Police patrolling in the Town of Catskill at about 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 25 initiated a traffic stop for a car with vehicle and traffic violations.
Investigation led to the arrests of all three people in the vehicle. The driver, Jessica Collazo, 32, of the Town of Catskill, and passenger Albert Clark, 33, from Cairo, were arrested after police saw several clear plastic bags of crack cocaine in the ground near both of them. They were charged with several felony and misdemeanor drug possession, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
They were both arraigned and with Collazo released on her own recognizance and Clark was remanded to the Greene County Jail.
A third person in the vehicle, Laura Jackson, 59, of the Town of Catskill, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession and released on an appearance ticket.
