POUGHKEEPSIE – Brian Doyle, the CEO of Family Services Inc., has announced that he will be retiring in October of this year.  Doyle has been with the organization for 10 years.

Family Services Inc. Chairman of the Board Freddimir Garcia said that since Doyle became CEO in 2011 “We have grown tremendously as an agency,” and he credited the retiring CEO has prepared the organization for the future by hiring valuable personnel, expanding the expended resources by $16 million, and establishing a presence in Ulster and Orange counties. Doyle has been at the forefront of a $9 million capital campaign that is close to being completed.

Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison noted that Doyle served as the chairman of the Common Council from 2006-2009 and did so with “dignity and distinction.”  Rolison said, “Over the years, so many people in the community have sought Brian’s counsel, and with good reason. He has a calming influence and an uncanny ability to see things from other people’s perspectives.”

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said, “Brian’s legacy will long live on through the countless Dutchess County families whose lives he has made better. We have served this community together, and I have always appreciated his passion and persistence – but mostly, his friendship and willingness to find common ground.  He credited Doyle for his continued search for funding to benefit the clients of Family Services.

The Board of Directors at Family Services will be searching for a new CEO that is “community-centered” to succeed Doyle as CEO, according to Garcia.
