NEWBURGH – His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan made his rounds in Newburgh Wednesday visiting two charitable organizations.
He met with Newburgh and Orange County officials while at Newburgh Ministry, which provides shelter, emergency financial assistance and counseling for those in need.
The cardinal also cut the ribbon on the new Catholic Charities’ Newburgh location at 280 Broadway.
The new space will bring Catholic Charities’ behavioral health, social and human services, food pantry, and immigration legal assistance in Newburgh to one location to improve access and wraparound support for clients.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus noted that Catholic Charities began in Orange County and has spread to both Sullivan and Ulster counties.
