GOSHEN -We have all heard in recent years – with the exception of the pandemic – that the Hudson Valley has come into its own in the film industry.

Several movies and TV shows have been made on location in the region.

Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana announced on Monday that two movies are being filmed now – “Poker Face” for the Peacock streaming service is being shot in various locations in the county, and “Theater Camp” is being filmed in Warwick.

She also said that the popular “Pretty Little Liars” series would be filming in Orange County next year.

While there are sound stages in Newburgh and others being developed in New Windsor, Dana said more moviemaking space is needed and that could come in the form of repurposed warehouse and distribution facilities.

Filmmaking in the Hudson Valley is nothing new; it has been going on for decades, but there is a renewed interest in all of the area’s counties.
