NEW WINDSOR – Following a complaint from a customer that prostitution was going in inside the A & A Spa at 357 Windsor Highway in New Windsor, town police arrested a 56-year-old Flushing woman.
Suwan Yang was charged with a misdemeanor of prostitution and issued an appearance ticket after an undercover New Windsor police officer was offered sexual conduct for a fee by Yang.
Police Chief Robert Doss anticipated additional undercover operations and inspections of those types of massage parlors and spas shortly. “Consider this fair warning to those who operate these types of illicit businesses and to those individuals who visit them. We will not tolerate this type of activity in this town.”
“The fact that this is occurring across the road from one of our local schools is troubling to me,” said Town Supervisor George Meyers. “Any future arrests will include the names and addresses of those involved in this illegal activity.”
