SPARROWBUSH – Two motorcycle operators were injured last Sunday afternoon on Route 97 at the Hawk’s Nest in Sparrowbush.

First responders found the two in the first pull-off coming into the nest.

Sparrowbush firefighters tended to the injured persons, who were then transported by separate ambulances to the hospital.

Route 97 was shut down for a little under an hour after the 5:30 p.m. accident as crews attended to the patients and a fuel spill from one of the bikes.

The Lumberland Fire Department assisted at the scene along with Port Jervis Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Deerpark Police.
