MOUNT VERNON – Police are investigating a double homicide that occurred early Sunday morning in Westchester. Police discovered the victims just before 6 a.m. after responding to a report of shots fired.
Mount Vernon police responded to a home on South 14th Avenue Sunday morning, June 5, 2022, to investigate a report of shots fired.
Responding officers located two deceased victims who died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Three minors were in the home at the time of the shooting and fled to a nearby family member’s residence, where police located them.
