GOSHEN – Public safety and economic development will take center stage as Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus delivers his annual state of the county address this evening.

The county executive will discuss options for the development of the former Camp LaGuardia property in Chester and Blooming Grove as well as other front-burner issues.

“When people talk about the extra money coming in with sales tax and surplus, we are using it predominantly for infrastructure projects, and we are going to be outlining each one,” he said. “For instance, we usually do 18 miles of road; we are going to do 26 miles of road this year. All of that helps us not only for our taxpayers, but for attracting economic development.”

Neuhaus will deliver his remarks at the county 911 center in Goshen at 6 p.m.
