HIGHLAND – Now that cashless tolling has been implemented on all five bridges over the Hudson River operated by the New York State Bridge Authority, former toll plazas are being reconstructed for the free flow of traffic.

That work is proceeding as scheduled, said authority Chief Engineer Jeffrey Wright.

“Our other major project that is ongoing right now is the AET rehab of the toll plazas at Mid-Hudson, Kingston and Rip Van Winkle. It is going through some construction, but we are finishing up. Eventually, it will be where we have one main entrance and that will be it,” he said.

Those projects are on-budget and on time, Wright said.
