MID-HUDSON – To honor the lives of those 10 African Americans killed by a white supremacist at a Tops supermarket in Buffalo, the chair is encouraging people to join their stores in a collective moment of tribute and reflection at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, seven days after the tragic event that also left three people injured.
The moment of reflection will include Hudson Valley stores in Rhinebeck, Carmel, Lagrangeville, and New Paltz.
“The impact of this tragedy stretches across our community and nation. We stand together as we remember them and pray that their families may find the strength needed to heal and move forward,” said John Persons, president of Tops Friendly Markets.
