KINGSTON – Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan, who is running as a Democratic candidate in the new 18th Congressional District in the fall general election, raised over $300,000 in just 24 hours since he announced his campaign to replace Rep. Antonio Delgado in the current 19th District.
Delgado has been tapped by Governor Kathy Hochul to be her lieutenant governor candidate and once his House seat is vacant in the days ahead, Ryan plans to run and fill that post through the end of this year.
The special election is expected to be held in August.
