City school budgets pass

MID-HUDSON – The more than $203 million Kingston City School District budget for the new year, an increase of 3.6 percent from last year, was approved overwhelmingly Tuesday by a vote of 5,348 to 752.

The three winners in the seven-way race for school board were Marie Anderson, Suzanne Jordan, and Steven Spicer.

In the Enlarged Middletown City School District, the $228.6 million budget with a $5 million tax levy decrease, passed 745 to 195.

The three winners in school board elections were John Williams, Vince Crescenzo, and Rose Tobiassen.
In the Port Jervis City School District, the budget was adopted 398 to 142 while Proposition 2 passed 364 to 165.
