Five arrests after “Cinco de Mayhem” in Ellenville

ELLENVILLE – Five men are facing misdemeanor charges resulting from a large brawl on Canal Street on May 5.  Police are still trying to locate two additional suspects.

A series of large fights during Cinco de Mayo celebrations in front of Gaby’s Café on May 5th required officers from several police agencies to restore the peace.  Two victims sustained stab wounds, including one  required several stitches to the face to treat the wound.  Both victims have refused to file complaints against their assailants.

The Ellenville Police, after their investigation, have arrested five men on misdemeanor charges of riot in the second degree.  Police are still searching for two additional suspects.  The arrested have all been served with “No Trespass” orders prohibiting them from entering Gaby’s Café on Canal Street.

The following were arrested and subsequently released on appearance tickets for a May 24 court date in Ellenville:

  • Joseph Logan, 31, of Ellenville
  • Luis Santiago, 33, of Ellenville
  • Joshua Morales, 32, of Napanoch
  • Jason Martire, 34, of Napanoch
  • Kevin Ramos, age 32, of Napanoch
