MONTICELLO – Two Monticello residents have been arrested for their roles in an April 2022 home invasion in the village.  The two suspects were arrested and are currently in the Sullivan County Jail.

The New York State Police along with the Village of Monticello Police Department arrested Village of Monticello residents Uwell Reynolds, age 20, and Keyshaun Carlton Graham Murray, age 20, on burglary charges. Both men were arrested on May 11, 2022.

The arrests are the result of an investigation in conjunction with the Monticello Police Department into a home invasion on Morris Drive in the Village of Monticello on April 27, 2022. The homeowner suffered minor injuries during the incident.

Reynolds and Murray were also charged for a string of other burglaries. Those crimes occurred on April 10, 2022, at approximately 4:00 a.m., at the Waverly Garden Housing Complex in the village.

They were both charged with burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief by the Village of Monticello Police Department.

Reynolds and Murray were arraigned in the Village of Monticello Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, and $1million partially secured bond.

There are additional charges pending and this is an ongoing investigation.
