POUGHKEEPSIE – The MJN Convention Center (formerly the Mid-Hudson Civic Center) continues to see a resurgence under its new management staff. The convention center has been actively drawing events back to the Poughkeepsie building and just added another concert to the calendar, with the booking of Rock & Roll performer, Daughtry.
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 20th at 10 AM with Exclusive Patron and VIP Packages available beginning May 13th at 10 AM through May 19th at 10 PM. Tickets are available at the MJN Box Office and at Ticketmaster.
Daughtry, with more than 9 million albums sold, will be playing at the MJN on August 30th. The band Pop Evil will perform prior to Daughtry taking the center stage.
Daughtry’s debut album, the self-titled Daughtry, was the top-selling album of 2007, producing four Top 20 Platinum-selling singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the fastest-selling rock debut album in Sound scan history.
The Grammy-nominated band has won four American Music Awards and seven Billboard Music Awards including Album of the Year. The subsequent albums, Leave This Town (2009), Break The Spell (2011), Baptized (2013) and Cage To Rattle (2018) were all certified Gold and placed in the top ten in the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. In 2020, Daughtry released their newest single, World On Fire.
