Dutchess County drug task force arrests man on drug and weapons charges

POUGHKEEPSIE – A thirty-year-old Poughkeepsie man has been arrested on drug and weapons charges after a search warrant was executed at his Main Street residence.  The arrest was made by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force on Friday, May 6.

Luis Martinez was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon when task force agents raided his residence and discovered a loaded handgun and an unspecified quantity of illegal drugs.

Martinez was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail. 

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, the Town of  Hyde Park Police Department, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force.
