KINDERHOOK – A 36-year-old Kinderhook man is in the Columbia County Jail on charges involving the sexual abuse of a child. Misael Chun Pastor was arrested on Thursday after an investigation by New York State Police and the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center.
Chun Pastor has been charged with felony predatory sexual assault against a child, five felony counts of rape, felony sexual conduct against a child, and felony sexual abuse.
After receiving a law enforcement tip on Thursday, May 5, an investigation determined Chun Pastor sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen years old on multiple occasions. State Police personnel began searching for Chun Pastor last night in the Kinderhook and Chatham areas. He was subsequently located and arrested on Friday, May 6.
Chun Pastor was arraigned before the town of Stuyvesant Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. He is next scheduled to appear before the court on May 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
