NEW YORK – Kathy Boudin, one of the members of the radical Weather Underground that held up a Brinks armored car in Rockland County in October 1981, died on Sunday, the New York Times reports. She was 78.

She was paroled from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester County in 2003.

That botched robbery resulted in two police officers and a Brinks security guard being shot and killed.

Cancer was said to be Boudin’s cause of death.
